Job Description:
An exciting opportunity for a leading mining company is available as a Specialist Continuous Improvement. The role will lead continuous improvement initiatives, this includes identifying opportunities, evaluating business processes, translating business requirements into system requirements, developing and implementing solutions, training and coaching employees and monitoring new processes.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Support and participate in sub-functional change management to drive transformation and optimization
  • Identify improvement initiatives and team recognition
  • Direct management of portfolio ideas
  • Ensure that templates, tools and processes for managing and tracking sustainable improvement are used in an effective and efficient manner
  • Regularly report to the Continuous Improvement Manager
  • Implement compliance requirements
  • Plan, direct and assess Quality Management related to improvement initiatives  
  • Drive process improvements
  • Deliver effective training on business improvement tools and systems
  • Lead the development of workplans to sustain continuous improvemnet
 
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
  • Degree or Diploma in Mining, Industrial Engineering or Business Management
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in continuous improvement the mining or engineering sector
  • Experience in a managerial or leadership role advantageous
  • Experience working with ERP Systems
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
