Procurement Superintendent (Mining / Greenfields Operation / Central Africa) – JHB, South Africa

Job Description:
  • Responsible for implementation of Procurement Policies and Procedures and
ensuring that all Materials and Services are procured on behalf of our client in
an efficient and effective manner
  • Direction of buyers throughout the process of evaluating suppliers, conducting
interviews with vendors, negotiating supplier agreements and managing supplier
            and vendor contracts
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
  • Degree in Purchasing and/or Supply advantageous
  • Business Degree in any business related field
  • 5-7 years experience in a senior Procurement role within mining or technical/industrial industry
  • Ability to respond with a high degree of initiative to resolve issues or complex problems that may arise
  • Ability to maintain positive company image and brand
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication, listening and presentation skills
  • Efficient organization and time-management skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines                    
  • A courteous and professional demeanour
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time                              
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills
  • Proficient with MS Office suite and other work-related software
