TruTools Regional Manager (Drilling / Business Development / Technical Sales) – Gauteng, South Africa

Job Description:
Our client is a leader in drilling services, and they require someone to be the key resource in establishing, managing, and growing their TruTools Technologies in their respective region. This position requires a motivated manager with a background in drilling and/or the geosciences. This role is also responsible for all TruTool business development and management in their respective region including technical papers, presentations, selling, renting, quoting, invoicing, and rental management. The TruTool Regional Manager is responsible for all TruTool revenue and profit results as well as the regional TruScan business P&L in their respective region. All TruTool Technicians within the region report to this person.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Understand TruTool operation and troubleshooting in great detail
  • Ability to Service and calibrate all TruTools as needed
  • Presentations related to the technical aspects of the TruTool Technologies to drilling contractors, mining company geologists, and exploration managers
  • Hiring TruTool Technicians as needed and maintaining the correct levels of staffing for the work on hand
  • Training of TruTool Technicians to operate, service, maintain, and calibrate all TruTool Technologies
  • Managing rosters of all regional TruTool staff as well as asset tracking and management
  • Strategically identify the right drilling contractors and/or mining houses for TruToola in your region and get them to adopt the Our technologies into their processes
  • Support and service the Company as a key client for TruTool Technologies
  • Responsible for writing all TruTool proposals in your respective region and for all bidding/pricing with the approval of the Global Execution/BD Manager
  • Responsible for managing the regional TruTool P&L as well as all projects at the job level
 
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
  • A relevant tertiary qualification, ideally a bachelors degree
  • Strong background in drilling and geosciences
  • Strong understanding of TruTool hardware and software
  • Must have previous management experience and the ability to drive and strategically sell and grow a profitable business
  • Must have mine site experience
  • Can think outside the box and be creative on deals involving TruTools to grow and remain profitable
  • Rental support and asset tracking experience
  • Ability and drive to strategically sell and grow profitable business
