HR Business Partner (Strategy / Operations / Policies) – Senegal

Job Description:
A major sporting league expanding to the African continent is currently in search of an experienced HR Business Partner to function as the main point-of-contact on a variety of HR related matters. This role will have both HR strategy and HR operations responsibilities, including Employee Engagement, crafting and administering HR policies, Recruiting, Talent Management, Benefits Administration, Compensation Analysis & Administration, HRIS, Immigration & Mobility.
English & French is a NON Negotiable requirement

  • Contribute to driving business performance; align HR strategy with business objectives
  • Facilitate a supportive work environment and an engaged workforce consistent with the company mission, core values and culture
  • Partner with business leadership in analyzing, interpreting, and forecasting workforce trends for department(s) and identify and monitor key HR metrics
  • Advise and consult with departmental leaders on operational decisions; facilitating the development of systems or protocols that promote HR strategy
  • Interpret and apply HR policies and procedures
  • Administer departmental protocols and best practices, ensuring that department rules, policies, practices and programs meet legal/regulatory standards and are in compliance with the company
  • Is a resource for employees for resolving workplace issues
  • Evaluate and respond to presenting human resource issues and when appropriate
  • Assess and anticipate HR-related needs
  • Operationalize HR programs and services, (e.g. Performance Management, Recruitment and Retention, Reward and Recognition, Compensation, Learning and Development, Employee Health, Well-being and Safety, Employee and Labor Relations, Leave Management, etc.).
  • Function as a HR Communications Liaison; identify and share departmental issues, concerns, and needs with Senior HR Leadership. A resource for information for their respective departmental leadership and employees
  • May initiate, review and/or approve HR transactions at the department level
  • Participate in performance process reviews, policy development teams, and other opportunities
  • Engage in complex employee relations issues and address grievances
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve employee engagement and satisfaction
  • Assess and report on employee performance and organizational planning
  • Partner with Managers to identify performance development opportunities for teams and individuals
  • Proactive support of and timely delivery of HR processes
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal client grounds across EMEA and New York home office
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
  • A minimum of 8 years or experience as a HR Business Partner
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology or related discipline
  • Expert knowledge of HR functions, best-practices, and labor legislation across Africa
  • Client-centric mindset with the ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and exercise good judgement
  • Expert project management skills, a bias for action and problem-solving
  • Ability to work in dynamic, heavily matrixed organization
  • Solid knowledge of HR systems and applicant tracking systems (SAP, PeopleSoft, Workday, Taleo, Greenhouse, ICIMS, etc.)
  • Ability to travel to other company offices abroad
