Customer Support Engineer

Job Description:
The Services & Support (VSS) business unit of a leading Commercial Aviation company is seeking a new team member, to act as first level of interaction between them and the aircraft operators in Nigeria.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Technical vocal point / interface of internal and external Customer
  • Providers customer with engineering, technical advice, applicable service solutions and determine corrective actions to be implemented as well as training respecting within airworthiness and aviation regulations
  • Translates Customer needs and concerns into the companies organizational / process language
  • Monitors, follows-up and provides answers and solutions to Customer issues. Understands the Customer needs representing the whole of the company to the customer and acting at the customer advocate internally
  • Ensures a regular communication with the Customer organization, to maintain a respectful relationship
  • Provides support to the customer pre-delivery / EIS
  • Organizes and coordinates “working party” / “retrofit”
  • Ensures continuous improvement of the policies and processes
  • Regularly informs his superior about issues and developments
  • Contributes to the optimization of work processes in his areas of activities
 
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
  • Aeronautical engineer degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 to 10 years of experience in the aviation Customer Support or airline industry (maintenance, engineering)
  • Has ideally some knowledge of the companies products and their components, has a balance between technical and commercial subjects, is able to use technical publications and documents
  • Have an EASA part 66 B1 license and/or B2 license
  • Experience in the line maintenance and/or Maintenance Control Centre
  • Superior communication skills and ability to successfully liaise at all levels of the organization as well as with external parties
  • Available to travel at short notice, conduct international missions and considers working overseas an alternative for future career growth
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken, is a must (Other languages would be an advantage)
