Key Account Manager (Earthmoving Equipment / Machinery / BD / Sales) - West Africa

Our client, an International Earthmoving Equipment provider is currently looking ofr a Key Account Manager to join its operation in West Africa. The Key Account Manager's mission is to take care of the global relationship with the key Chinese customers for which he is responsible and to ensure the loyalty of large accounts.
It integrates the coordination of sales, engineering projects, After-Sales (services and parts) and the state of current credit lines.

1. Continuous prospecting
  • Prospect the designated market,
  • Develop the Chinese client portfolio in HUB 1 countries
  • Provide a report on business activity
  • Explore new business prospects of existing customers
  • Analyze and report on the competition market, their products and their commercial offers (including sharing with the team)
2. Customer strategy and monitoring
  • Support and implement the strategy defined in the territory according to the objectives assigned by the HUB and the BU
  • Maintain and improve customer relations
  • Regularly visit customers on site
  • Develop and maintain customer files
  • Develop the Cross Functional Team to ensure inter-departmental collaboration when submitting sales offers
3. Negotiation and sales
  • Create and negotiate offers with customers for whom he is responsible
  • Ensure that the rules related to the financing and control of financial and legal risks established are respected
  • Contribute to the achievement of the commercial objective
4. Product knowledge
  • Update knowledge of manufacturers' machines and services to effectively meet customer needs
  • Make sure you have the right information from the Sales Manager in the territory
5. Reporting
  • Establish and regularly follow the Order Book which includes the various offers, in progress, missed
  • Prepare a report on the situation of clients and activities
  • Regular update of CRM or any other monitoring tools
Qualifications, Experience and Education:
  • Commercial experience of 5 to 10 years in a similar sector preferably in Africa
  • Training as a commercial engineer or equivalent
  • Knowledge of the Chinese sector and projects on the territories
  • Control of office automation tools
  • Experience of international organizations with a delocalized presence
  • Active knowledge of French, English
