Job Description:
A mining client has a vacancy for a Financial Accountant whose main purpose is monthly reporting and financial modelling. This role reports directly into the Finance & Admin Manager.
 
Responsibilities:

• Preparation of month end results
• Financial Control
• Monthly Management Accounts
• Budgeting and Forecasting
• Cost Centre Management and Cost Control
• Oversee all tax related matters
• Oversee yearend audit
• Compile AFS

 
Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• Matric
• BCom Degree
• Completed articles
• At least 3-5 years’ experience in Financial Accountant role in a mining environment, with supervisory experience
• Must be fully proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel financial models) and Sage Evolution
• Core skills: good communication at all levels; strong planning and organizational; good problem solving; good attention to detail; ability to work under pressure; strong interpersonal skills
