Job Description:
The purpose of this position is partner with Project Managers to ensure assigned projects are commercially well set-up and executed. Ensuring contract commercial issues are handled and escalated in a robust manner while ensuring complete, accurate, timely project financial reporting. 
 
Responsibilities:

• Project planning
• Budget control, commitment, and order tracking
• Transaction processing
• Reconciliations and Reports
• Cash flow management
• Forecasts and profitability management
• Financial management

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• Bachelor’s Degree in financial accounting / Management Accounting  
• Cost Accounting qualification, such as CMA or CIMA
• Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in an appropriate role with experience in Engineering and/or Mining
• Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience with both LSTK and EPCM projects
• Exposure to projects outside South Africa, such as in African countries
• Must have worked in multiple currency environments
• Costing – understands work breakdown structures, billings rules, allocation methods
• Cost accounting – demonstrated ability to apply costing methodologies, such as cost allocations, relevant costs,   incremental costs and standard costs
• Financial accounting – demonstrated ability to apply accounting principles, such as revenue recognition, matching  and period control
• Internal controls – understands the concept and applies sound methods
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Microsoft Office skills (such as Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Integrated accounting, cost control, ERP packages, ideally Microsoft Dynamics, otherwise similar such as Oracle,    Syspro
