Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Distribution Specialist with a background in transportation operations within mining or manufacturing environments to join their team in Zambia.
  • Carrying out all dispatching requirements timeously.
  • Keeping abreast of market intelligence and knowledge to for best practice and safety improvements.
  • Continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency and productivity of warehouse operations and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations for services delivered to customers.
  • Troubleshooting stock visibility and traceability issues, improve picking accuracy, minimise delivery losses, returns and service level fines.
  • Utilization of SAP processes effectively.
  • Ensuring a high standard of housekeeping is maintained.
  • Decrease business interruption and ensure working conditions are always safe through the management of machinery and equipment breakdowns.
  • Management of systems and processes for the management of Major Hazards Facilities (MHF).
  • Mentoring and training subordinates.
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
  • Degree in logistics, supply chain or similar field.
  • 5 years’ experience in transportation or warehousing operations within mining or manufacturing environmments.
  • Well-versed in transportation and warehousing regulations.
  • Strong SAP experience.
  • Willing to travel as required.
  • Zambian nationals encouraged to apply.
