Job Description:

A Microfinance institution is seeking a Compensation & Benefits Manager to be based in either; Cape Town, Johannesburg or Kenya. This individual will be responsible for Planning, Designing, Compliance, Policy development and Administration of Group-wide employee compensation & benefits programs.

  • Support design, delivery and expertise in compensation and benefits, as well as any corresponding compliance requirements, systems and tools across all subsidiaries
  • Conduct analysis of compensation and benefits across all subsidiaries.
  • Oversee competitive analysis, merit increases and salary structure as well as comparing benefits and compensation plans, job classifications, and salaries through data and cost analysis across all subsidiaries
  • Advises on compensation policy interpretation, new hire offers, promotions, market analysis, job evaluation and other compensation projects and initiatives
  • Identify, develop, audit and consolidate compensation indicators & metrics
  • Monitoring and researching compensation and benefits trends as well as analysing surveys to ensure appropriate compensation across all subsidiaries.
  • Forecast budget for salary increases.
  • Research job and worker requirements, structural and functional relationships among jobs and occupations, and occupational trends.
  • Support all compensation and benefits annual processes across the Group, which includes but is not limited to the annual salary and bonus processes.
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
  • Bachelor or Postgraduate degree in either Human Resources, Finance or Economics
  • 5-8 years’ experience in HR, at least 3 years’ experience as Compensation & Benefits Manager or Specialist
  • Proven track record in Payroll, Benefits and Remuneration, with specialist knowledge Sage/ VIP configuration.
  • Highly numerate with a strong affinity for numbers
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledgeable about all applicable HR laws
Contratual information:
  • Position may be based in either Johannesburg, Cape Town or Kenya
  • Possibility of a 'Work - from - home" option
