Job Description:
An international industrial infrastructure company is looking to hire a Solar Field Supervisor for a Solar Thermal project in the Northern Cape. The role will be responsible for the Solar Field system in the start-up of the plant.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Establish the star- up program for the solar field system
  • Coordinate the different specialists involved the solar field, including the PEM team and subcontractors
  • Anticipate the chronology of the tests between the systems
  • Inform Head of start-up of the progress in drafting of various programs and procedures
  • Write test reports
  • Coordinate different test specialists in the department
  • Ensure that start-up procedures are completed and approved by the relevant specialists
  • Inform the start-up coordinator of the progress of tests and of problems that may occur
  • Write technical instructions for different modes of the operation
  • Participate in training of operators
  • Write incident reports
  • Ensure the updating of functional, electrical and mechanical sequences of automata, during all phases of PEM, from the act of end of assembly to final supply of documentation
 
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
  • 5 years’ experience in start-up plants in industrial machinery, heat exchange systems
  • Diploma in Technical Engineering
  • Previous experience in solar plants advantageous
  • Supervisory experience in start-up systems (boilers, water-steam cycle, exchanges)
