Job Description: 

An opportunity for a Cashflow Assistant based in Bedfordview, Johannesburg has become available. This will require the successful candidate to perform the following duties include management of daily banking and reconciliation, monthly sales reporting, cash flow forecasts, revenue assurance, assisting with the preparation of management accounts and other ad hoc duties within the Finance team. 

  • Support the Group Financial Manager (GFM) with the compilation and updating of the daily cashflow and forecast;
  • Trace all proceeds expected from the conveyancing attorneys in the cashflow and on SIMS to the company's bank account;
  • Following up on any outstanding amounts from conveyancing attorneys on a daily basis;
  • Trace all releases from the lending banks in Cashflow and on SIMS to the company's bank account, on a daily basis;
  • Following up on any outstanding amounts to be released by the bank and query any unusual activity;
  • Trace all anticipated payments in Cashflow to the company's bank account, on a daily basis;
  • Following up on any non-payments on a daily basis and deal with any issues that may arise;
  • Trace all anticipated debit order payments in Cashflow to the company's bank account, on a daily basis;
  • Following up on any returns of debit order payments or any issues reported by the banks in terms of debit order payments. Deal with any issues;
  • Report all discrepancies in receipts and payments timeously to the GFM;
  • Report any new debit orders/monthly payments to the GFM for inclusion in the cashflow;
  • Prepare the monthly draws schedule and distribute to the MD; CFO and GFM;
  • Follow up with the lending banks on whether all the requirements have been satisfied for payments of the monthly draws;
  • Communicate any problems relating to the payment of the draws to all related parties, keeping all informed of progress and requirements;
  • Update draws schedule on an on-going basis for all payments received; reasons for non/short payments;
  • Check SIMS for reasonableness of registration dates in relation to lodging dates and communicate all discrepancies to the GFM.
  • Minimum 2 - 3 years’ experience in cashflow administration;
  • SIMS;
  • Admin experience;
  • Excel experience at advanced level;
  • Deadline driven
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Be able to work as a team and independent
