Job Description:
The position is accountable for assisting to plan and supervise a wide range of projects from start to finish. Assistant project manager will organize and oversee the whole procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
An excellent Project Manager must be well-versed in all concerned methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills.
The goal will be to ensure all projects are delivered on time according to requirements and without exceeding budget.
  • Arranging and managing land and marine transportation of heavy lift and over dimensioned package as well as weighing, receiving, installing and managing their operation.
  • Managing load of operation for local, electrical/ instrument rooms for the project
  • Responsible for load out of PARs & PAUs ranging for the project.
  • Responsible for satisfaction of all HSE requirements including facilitation of critical operation.
  • Significant experience developing mooring solutions in areas with poor quay sides.
  • Facilitating land and marine transportation and installation of required equipment to handle and execute the project
  • Facilitating removal of required equipment after completing the project.
  • Assist PM in accomplishing human resource objectives by helping to determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations and in assisting to hire contracts and other staff and allocating responsibilities as well as in supervising the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed.
  • Assist PM to achieve operational objectives by collaborating with all parties involved (governmental authorities and others) to determine the specifications of the project, negotiating contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements and obtaining permits and licenses from appropriate authorities as well as planning all operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met.
  • Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies.
  • Assist PM to meet financial objectives by helping to forecast requirements; prepare an annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; and suggest corrective actions.
  • Responsible for preparing method statement, site management and coordination for selected projects to assist the engineering and operation department.
  • Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports 
  • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Handling all Custom clearance activities required to 
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
  • Proven experience as assistant project manager 
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
  • Good knowledge of MS Office 
  • Familiarity with construction/ project management software 
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills 
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills  
  • A team player with leadership abilities 
  • BSc/BA in engineering, building science or relevant field 
  • PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage
