Job Description:
An international metals trading company has a position for a Mine Engineer to oversee their operations in Sierra Leone and Brazzaville Congo.
  • Review and evaluate mine plans and designs for both underground and open pit
  • Design and model both long term and short term mine plans
  • Review accuracy of resource  and reserve statements and stress block model
  • Evaluate technical studies and assess commercial viability of the project
  • Review selection of project equipment, project capital and operating cost estimates
  • Work closely with various teams within the company
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline
  • Masters in Mining Engineering highly advantageous
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in operations or consulting environment
  • Fluent in written and oral Mandarin
  • Strong capability in relevant software programs
  • Prior experience in iron ore advantageous
