Job Description:
My client is currently seeking a Mineral Separation Plant Manager for their producing mine in Southern Africa
 
Responsibilities:
  • Maximising throughput and recovery in the production of Exported Product (Rutile, Ilmenite  and Zircon) in the most cost effective manner possible whilst optimising throughout the mining operation the utilisation of plant and equipment;
  • Development of an optimised mine plan and mining sequence;
  • Development a very detailed three to six month look ahead plan;
  • Ongoing review of the 3 year mine operations plan;
  • Development and delivery of a detailed capital and operating budget.
 
Requirements: Qualification and Skill:
 
  • Relevant Degree or Diploma in Metallurgy
  • Relevant management qualification
  • Ability to plan and carry out sequential projects while considering downstream consequences, contingencies and alternative pathways
  • 10 – 15 years appropriate experience
  • Leadership and core competencies
  • Values managing through design and development of processes and systems; ability to identify structural changes required for continuous development
  • Exceptional analytical and decision-making skills
  • Commitment to defining goals and setting targets
  • Driven for commercial results; commitment to health and safety protocols.
  • Management skills
  • Target / goal setting and monitoring thereof

  • Systems implementation
