Africa HR are looking to appoint a Payroll Business Manager for the African continent.
The Senior Business Manager of Payroll Operations provides strategic and operational leadership for the implementation of payroll for clients across Africa.
  • Analyse legislation, rulings and legislative history for payroll issues in different African countries in order to implement payroll policies, practices and tools that ensure compliance.
  • This role also has responsibility to ensure compliance with all payroll tax reporting
  • Sets goals and determines priorities for the team that supports the business and aligns with enterprise and HR objectives
  • Identifies and leads implementation of payroll system enhancements and reports to improve payroll administration accuracy, efficiency and compliance
  • Identifies business improvement opportunities, system enhancements and reports to improve payroll accuracy, efficiency, and customer service.
  • Manages payroll operating budget including planning, budgeting and forecasting operational needs for tools and resources, including management of vendor relationships and spend for payroll services
  • Manages team of payroll analysts and specialist, which includes hiring, assigning work, evaluating performance and providing opportunities for staff development.
  • Maintains a high level of understanding of best-in-class operations through continuing education, benchmarking, and forming cross-functional partnerships
  • Builds a team culture of ongoing performance feedback and ability to constructively address differences and conflict.
  • Defines, clarifies and drives a common understanding of business process for HR and Payroll compliance success.
  • Develops and maintains cross-functional relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as finance and corporate accounting, legal and IT
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
  • The ideal candidate will have experience with setting up payroll systems across the Africa continent
