Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Section Engineer, with a minimum of 5 years engineering and production experience in a mining industry, for their mine operation in the Northern Cape.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Business intelligence and Trend Analysis
  • Functional process optimization
  • Section engineering planning, analysis, design and implementation
  • Section engineering asset care planning and scheduling
  • Section engineering administrative and specialized support
  • Promote and enforce compliance
  • Plan, implement, control and monitor approved changes
  • Implement operations effectiveness model and practice
  • Input into functional planning
  • Micro- and macro-economic awareness
  • Plan direct and assess quality management within function
 
Requirements: Qualification and Skill and Competence
  • N.Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • GCC Certificate
  • Three (3) years management experience
  • Five (5) years engineering and production experience in a mining industry
  • Valid code B driving license
  • ECSA Registration (Advantageous)
  • Behavioural: Business acumen, leadership skills, relation building skills and results driven
  • Systems: Electronic Document Management Systems, Enterprise Resource Planning, Information Management Systems, Learner Information Management Systems, Microsoft Office and SHERQ systems
  • Legal Appointment as per Mine Health & Safety Act
