Job Description:
The accountant will lead and manage the company’s financial transactions and may be required to provide additional support at jobsite. He/she will ensure co-ordination with the company’s involved
  • Coordinate the end of month closing process to ensure all corporate deadlines are met and information is presented in accordance with GAAP
  • Anticipate the challenges in the financial system of the organization and prepare a plan of action to counter it.
  • Provide support for accountants and external departments
  • Manage the expenditures and come up with ideas on a robust cash management system
  • Gather and organized data for auditors (internal, external, governmental, etc.)
  • Manage the Fixed Asset procedure, policy and process
  • Jobsite support such as; fixed asset inventory/vocational coverage for internal and external auditors/Tax return preparation and coordination with Phoenix/ audit to identify weaknesses in process or support
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related discipline
  • Five (5) years’ experience in accounting, financial analysis, external reporting, or related area
  • Strong knowledge of Financial Accounting Standards (FAS) and experience in trial balance review/reconciliation, overall account reconciliation, and consolidations.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Experience in technical accounting research, preparing financial statements and related disclosures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, and financial systems.
  • Strong analytical Skills and ability to work independently
  • Ability to work independently, strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage and lead major projects and coordinates activities outside the work team.
  • Self-starter with attention to detail with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to make good decisions that will enforce company policies; which are in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
  • Ability to work with general office equipment such as a personal computer and keyboard, facsimile machines and photocopier.
  • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions. Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret root causes of financial results, variances, and financial trends.
