My client is a leading global provider of environmental, health, safety, risk, and social consulting services.
They are seeking an experienced Business Unit Managing Partner to provide leadership, growth and profitability of the BU and contribute to the regions successful commercial and operational development. Proactively contribute, as a member of the leadership team. This job is also accountable for recruiting, mentoring and coaching key staff and Partners; supporting and championing global strategic initiatives; delivering exceptional value to clients and developing work with material Clients in the Business Unit
 
Responsibilities:
  • Reporting to the CEO
  • Providing leadership to achieve health and safety excellence, ensuring all staff and subcontractors understand their commitment to safe working and the importance of adherence to safety management requirements
  • Championing a ‘client first’ culture - working with project PIC’s to ensure that the client is provided at every opportunity with added value through all stages of the project life cycle (from proposal to project closure)
  • Achieving year on year key account and client sales growth; supporting budget and financial targets for the BU
  • Establishing and managing through an effective management and organisation structure (in line with Group OD guidance) that takes account of client, markets, budget and strategic requirements
  • Resource planning that enables the appropriate mix of resources with the appropriate skills to be in place to deliver the BU’s growth target and strategic plan
  • Operational KPI’s including budgeted Net Revenue, RON, PBBIT, DSO, and FTE’s
  • The control of operational risk. This includes subcontractors, commercial, health and safety, regulatory, labour laws and contract
  • Ensuring all entities (countries or others) within the BU meet local legal and fiscal regulations
  • Fulfilling a Director role you will be responsible for a legal entity which will involve working with the appropriate support function i.e. Legal, Tax, Finance to ensure local legal and fiscal obligations are met
  • Ensuring all local commitments by the local legal entity are in line with the company’s Global Policy Corporate Governance Approval Levels
  • Impacts of the role will include: Zero Loss of Time Injuries (LTIs) and visible and demonstrable safety leadership as measured by engagement with ECS and the Active Leadership Audit programme
  • Client satisfaction index or other appropriate measure
  • Achieving or exceeding BU sales target/High Growth High Value Clients
