Are you an experienced Senior Maintenance Advisor with a background in underground mechanised trackless mining?
This could be the opportunity for you!
Our client is currently in search of a suitable individual to lead the team for their new operation in Southern Africa.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Development and implementation of maintenance strategies and requirements to support optimal asset efficiency and production.
  • Advising on and approval of technical specifications for equipment purchases.
  • Prepare short and long term maintenance planning.
  • Responsible for safety and compliance decisions.
  • Budgeting and cost control.
  • Input into the recruitment and selection of the maintenance team.
  • Mentoring and training subordinates.
 
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
  • Mechanical Trade Test, Diploma or Degree.
  • 10 years previous experience in the maintenance of underground trackless mechanised mining equipment, with 7 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience in asset management and selection.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and project management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and computer literacy.
  • Experience working with diverse cultural backgrounds in Africa.
 
Contractual information:
  • 2 year contract.
  • Residential status.
