Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain an effective financial reporting system
  • Ensure compliance with group and legislative reporting requirements and deadlines.
  • Manage the audit process in order to produce the annual financial statements according to IFRS
  • Ensure that the relevant stakeholders are updated on issues, changes and trends in the operating model and operational delivery of the business which impact the risk exposure and strategic objectives of the business.
  • Consolidate the statutory financials of all group specialised entities within the company on a monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual basis
  • Manage the financial control processes throughout the business to identify and mitigate key business risks and ensure timely and complete execution of fiduciary duties.
  • Review and manage the implementation of effective business processes
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
  • 5 years’ experience - 3 years’ experience must be in a management capacity
  • B.Com degree specialising - Accounting, Economics or Finance
  • Honours degree preferable with completed articles
  • Knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, Local Relevant Tax and VAT regulations
  • Experience within the insurance industry will be preferred
