Job Description:
Our client is offing an opportunity for a Business Development Manager with experience in Sub-Saharan Africa involving technical projects.  This individual should have proven Business Development track record of utility scale solar/wind farm projects in extremely challenging environments. Versatility is required across multiple countries and environments within Sub-Saharan Africa as an International Sales and Marketing Manager with unique negotiation and networking skills.
 
Responsibilities:
  • New business development and Revenue growth within Wind, PV and CSP;
  • Build and manage relationships within Wind, PV and CSP industry;
  • Build and grow client database;
  • Ensure brand and reputation are upheld at all times;
  • Keep abreast of industry information as it relates to the service or the industry itself;
  • Customer focus
 
Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification;
  • Appropriate business development / sales experience;
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Wind, PV or CSP industry, preferably in project development;
  • In case of project development Wind, knowledge of WASP and WindPro Software;
  • Proficient in MS Office packages;
  • Good interpersonal, communication and enterprising skills;
  • Goal-directed behavior;
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure;
  • A willingness to travel.
